Every time you thriftify you're buying directly from a charity shop. Usually the shop will process and ship your order within two days meaning you should have it within 3-8 days from the time of your order, at the latest! After all, charity shops are busy environments and they're doing their best. If you're concerned about your order or you want it to arrive super fast, just let us know and we'll do our best to speed up the process. If you're far away from the charity shop you've ordered from, it's going to take longer to arrive, strange how logistics work like that.. typically our international orders arrive within 14 working days. Although our carrier pigeons aren't super happy about those Australian orders.
As you are aware already Brexit has caused some disruptions to the online shopping process.
We are working on integrating the tax and customs charges into our checkout so you can view the fees and pay directly through us. Our workshop of helper elves is working around the clock so please bear with us while we work on that integration. In the meantime, there are some things you need to know about shopping with cross-border charities from Thriftify this Christmas.
When you purchase from an Irish charity on our UK site additional taxes and duties of 20% VAT will apply. You will receive an email from a tax collection agency requesting this payment and you will be required to pay this within 5 days, please keep a close eye on your spam folder as well.
To avoid additional charges you can purchase from a charity within the country you are located in. We have incredible charities from the UK & Ireland and each purchase supports their good causes and contributes to a more sustainable planet.
